There are many different cocktails that have been created over the years. In fact, new cocktails are still being created to satisfy different tastes. Here are some delicious wine cocktails that are wonderful to enjoy yourself or serve to guests.
Red Hot Summer

  • ¾ cup red wine
  • ¼ cup lemon-lime soda
  • ice
  • lime wheel to garnish

Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, add the wine and soda, and stir. Garnish with the lime wheel and serve.
San Francisco Sangaree

  • 1 ½ ounce bourbon
  • 1 ½ ounce merlot
  • ¼ ounce simple syrup
  • 4 cherries
  • 1 lemon slice

Make simple syrup by mixing equal parts of water and sugar. Boil until dissolved and then let it cool to room temperature before you use it. Muddle the cherries in a cocktail shaker. Add the simple syrup, ice, bourbon, wine, and the lemon slice. Shake before straining into a glass. Add another lemon slice to the glass if desired.
Star Gazer

  • 2 ounces chardonnay
  • 1 ounce dark rum
  • ½ ounce vanilla bean syrup
  • ½ ounce pineapple juice
  • Lime wedge to garnish

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and then add all of the ingredients. Shake well and strain into a glass. Garnish with the lime wedge.
Refresher

  • 1 ¼ ounces vanilla vodka
  • 1 ounce chardonnay
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • ½ ounce lemon juice
  • 2 mint sprigs
  • 5 grapes
  • Prosecco
  • 2 grapes to garnish

Make simple syrup by mixing equal parts of sugar and water. Bring to a boil and stir until dissolved. Allow to cool before use in your cocktail. Muddle the mint, grape and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker. Add the wine, lemon juice and ice. Shake well and strain into a glass. Top with Prosecco and garnish by adding 2 grapes to the glass.
