Coffee Brandy Creme

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (.25 oz.) of unflavoured gelatin
  • 2 cups of strong hot coffee
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of brandy (optional)

Method:

  • Combine the gelatin and sugar in a bowl.
  • Next, add the brandy and coffee.
  • Allow to set.
  • Serve your brandy dessert as is or top with whipped cream.

Coffee Velvet

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 a gallon of vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 a cup of brandy
  • 1/4 of a cup of chocolate syrup

Ingredients:

  • 1 plain yellow, sponge or pound cake
  • 1 to 2 cups of fresh or frozen fruit (thaw out if frozen)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 oz of brandy (alternatively sherry or rum)
  • Custard (packaged or make your own)
  • 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup of jam, jelly or preserves (same flavour as the fruit you choose)
  • Whipped cream

Method:

  • Slice or cut the cake into cubes.
  • Sprinkle brandy over the cut cake.
  • Place a layer of cake at the bottom of your dish.
  • Add a layer of jam or jelly.
  • Add fruit.
  • Add a layer of custard.
  • Add some whipped cream.
  • Repeat these layers until you finish off with whipped cream.
  • Decorate with glazed cherries if desired.
  • Allow to set in the refrigerator before serving.

Creamy chocolate dessert

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 of a cup of milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons of brandy
  • 6 oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • Whipped cream

Method:

  • Scald the milk in a pot.
  • Combine the milk with the chocolate chips, egg, brandy and sugar in a food processor.
  • Process until the mixture is smooth.
  • Pour this mixture into dessert cups or a small bowl and set in the fridge for about 3 hours.
  • Top this brandy dessert with whipped cream and serve.
