If you are looking for a delicious dessert that will taste great in summer and winter, you can’t go wrong with an apple cobbler. The best part about this recipe is that it is so easy that even beginners can master this scrumptious dish the first time around.

Ingredients:

  • 3 large granny smith apples (peeled and sliced)

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup of flour (all purpose)

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • half a cup of butter (melted)

Instructions:

  • Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish thoroughly.

  • Slice your apples and place them in the bottom of the dish.

  • Mix the flour, sugar, egg and cinnamon together until it looks like course cornmeal.

  • Sprinkle this mixture over the top of your apples in the dish.

  • Pour the melted butter over the dish and make sure that you do so evenly.

  • Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.

  • Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool just a little bit.

  • Cut into pieces and serve your delicious apple cobbler as is or top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

While you can serve apple cobbler in the cooler months, you can serve it hot with whipped cream and even some sweet caramel sauce. Of course, in the summer, you might want something a little bit more refreshing so you can serve it cold or at room temperature with some vanilla ice cream or whipped cream – or even a bit of both.
