Chocolate mousse is a popular dessert yet there are so many different recipes that people often don’t know how to make this delicious treat. Some recipes are quite complex and time-consuming. This chocolate mousse recipe, however, is as easy as it gets!
Ingredients:

  • 100g good quality plain chocolate
  • 50ml milk
  • 200ml double cream
  • 100g fruit (strawberries are particularly delicious)

Directions:

  • Place a bowl over a pan of simmering water and add your chocolate to this bowl. Stir slowly and make sure that no water gets into the bowl.
  • Heat the milk in another saucepan until it starts to boil. Add the milk to the melted chocolate. Do so slowly and while stirring with a whisk. Once blended, allow to cool.
  • Whip 150ml of cream until it forms soft peaks.
  • Fold the cream into the chocolate mixture.
  • Place some fruit in your bowls before you spoon some of the chocolate mixture on top.
  • Whip the rest of the cream and decorate the top of your mousse.
  • Decorate with some more fruit and enjoy!
  • If you like, you can refrigerate the mousse before serving.
