Tea is a delicious and refreshing beverage that many people love throughout the year. Regardless of the weather or season, there are always several types of tea that can be enjoyed morning, noon, and night! Of course, during warmer weather, many people prefer iced tea over the hot alternative.
Combining chamomile, strawberry and orange makes for a delicious cold drink. Make chamomile tea as per usual usuing 8 tea bags. Add two oranges (sliced) and 24 strawberries (sliced) to your steeping tea. Cover and refrigerate for 12 – 24 hours. Once steeped, remove the tea bags and add honey. Dissolve about 4 teaspoons of honey in some water before adding it to the tea. Serve chilled or, if you want it even colder, you can add ice.
If you love lemonade and tea, then you’ll love combining the two. Start by adding 2 tea bags to three cups of hot water and 1 cup of mint leaves. Stir, cover, and let this mixture steep for 10 minutes. Remove the tea bags and the mint. Add ½ cup of sugar and stir until dissolved. Add 4 cups of water and 6 ounces of lemon concentrate. Chill and serve with lemon slices and ice if desired.
Mint is also wonderfully refreshing and mint tea is a popular beverage around the world. Start by making fresh green tea and allow it to steep. Then add some mint and a touch of sugar to the mixture. Stir until the sugar dissolves and then strain the tea before chilling it.
Like hot tea, iced tea is best made is small batches. The flavour and nutritional benefits of fresh tea are far greater than those of a jug of tea that has been in the fridge for several days.
