Raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries are all delightfully delicious and they can be enjoyed in so many ways including as a topping sauce for desserts. This sauce is really easy to make and you’ll be ready to enjoy in less than 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups frozen or fresh raspberries
- 1 ½ cups frozen or fresh sliced strawberries
- 1 cup frozen or fresh blueberries
- Up to 1 cup sugar (to taste)
- 1 – 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice (to taste)
Method:
- Combine 1 cup of raspberries, 1 cup of strawberries, and ¾ cup of blueberries in a saucepan.
- Add about ¾ cup of sugar and a tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixture and heat.
- Allow to simmer over a medium heat until the sugar has completely dissolved. This takes about 10 minutes.
- Add more sugar if needed.
- Blend the mixture using a blender or food processor before returning to the saucepan on the stove.
- Simmer again and add the rest of the lemon juice if desired.
- Add the remaining berries, stir, and simmer for a few more minutes.
- Serve this sauce hot or cold over your favourite dessert.
