Smoothies are great during the summer and many people even enjoy them during the winter too. While they are often seen as a healthy treat, smoothies can also pack a punch if you add just the right ingredients. Here are some delicious smoothie recipes with a kick!

Passion Fruit and Vodka

Ingredients:

– 3 cups of small ice cubes

– 1 cup passion fruit nectar

– ¼ cup vodka

– ¼ cup half-and-half

– 2 Tbsp Cointreau

– A splash of orange juice

Instructions:

– Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

– The consistency can be adjusted by adding more juice or ice.

– Use passion fruit seeds to garnish.

Pina Colada

Ingredients:

– 3/4 cup fresh pineapple (diced)
– 1/4 cup light coconut milk
– 1/2 small banana
– 1/4 cup ice (crushed)
– 1/4 teaspoon minced lemongrass
– 44ml rum (a light rum like Malibu is preferable)
– 1 tspn unsweetened coconut flakes to garnish

Instructions:

– Combine all of the ingredients (except for the coconut flakes) in a blender and blend until smooth.

– Pour into a tall glass, top with coconut flakes and serve immediately.

Coconut, banana, and rum

Ingredients:

– 2 bananas (frozen)

– ¾ cup coconut rum

– 1/3 cup cream of coconut

– Juice from 1 lime

Instructions:

– Peel the bananas and cut them into chunks. Place them in your freezer until they are frozen solid.

– Place the frozen banana chunks, rum, cream of coconut, and the lime juice in a blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth.

– Pour into a glass and enjoy!
