Ingredients:
- 2 cups of dark chocolate
- 1 cup of dried cranberries
- 1 cup of chopped walnuts
Directions:
- Start by melting your chocolate in a double boiler. This ensures that it melts properly and without burning or seizing.
- Once melted, add the cranberries and chopped walnuts and mix until they are coated with the melted chocolate.
- Use a spoon to scoop portions out of the pot and place them on a line baking tray. Make sure that you space them apart so that they don’t stick to one another.
- Set aside and allow to cool to room temperature to harden.
- You can refrigerate this delicious autumn chocolate but, just keep in mind, it will result in them ‘sweating’ when you take them out. In addition, chilling in the fridge can affect the flavour of the chocolate.
This delicious autumn chocolate recipe can be changed according to your preferences. For example, while dark chocolate is the healthiest choice of all, some people avoid it for medical reasons and, instead enjoy milk or white chocolate (in moderation). You can also get creative with your filling ideas. Apart from cranberries and walnuts, you can also use raisins, sultanas, peanuts, almonds and you can combine them too as you wish.
