If you are lucky enough to get your hands on a fine collection of Halloween chocolate this year and you do not know what to do with it all, here’s a recipe you’ll love! It’s sweet and simple to make so the kids will love it. You can even let them lend a hand in the kitchen and it could be come your new favourite Halloween tradition.

Ingredients:

  • 4 – 6 apples
  • 5oz package of Vanilla Instant Pudding mix
  • 4 – 6 large Halloween chocolate bars (like Snickers, Twix, Mars, etc)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 16oz cool whip
  • Caramel ice cream topping

Directions:

  • Core your apples and dice them before setting aside.
  • If you like, you can set the diced apples in some lemon water to prevent them from turning brown. Just make sure that you allow them to drain properly before adding them to your Halloween chocolate fruit salad.
  • Chill your chocolates just enough so that they don’t get squashed when you chop them up.
  • Mix the pudding powder with the milk.
  • Fold the cool whip into the milk mixture.
  • Add the apples and chocolates and fold in.
  • Drizzle some caramel sauce over the top and serve!

As you can see, this recipe will help you put a fair amount of those Halloween chocolate bars to great use! Plus, it’s a great way of ‘tricking’ fussy eaters into enjoying some fruit along with their trick or treat sweets.
