If you host a party, dinner or any event and you served something like a chocolate fondue, you might end up with some leftover chocolate sauce. The same can be said if you wish to make your own ganache for a specific recipe. If you have made too much, don’t throw it away. Here are some ideas of what you can do with the leftovers.
Delicious uses
- Chocolate sauce can be used to make the most delicious truffles. Simple use firm ganache and roll it into balls. Roll them around in some cocoa powder and you’re all set!
- If you have some cookies in your pantry, you can dip them in that sweet sauce before allowing them to set and this will certainly make them even more delicious.
- If you add heavy cream to the sauce you can use it to spruce up your otherwise ordinary bowl of ice cream.
- Warm your chocolate, add nuts and maybe some dried fruit before letting it set in a cake pan. Cut into small pieces and you have a scrumptious fudge variation.
- You can even add it to your cupcakes as part off the mixture or use as a topping.
With all of these great ideas, you can see why you should never discard that delicious chocolate sauce. If you have some chocolates that are not looking all that great because they melted in warmer weather, you can turn them into some sauce or use them to make ganache and get really creative in the ways that you use it all. You can even combine more than one of the ideas above so that you have many ways of making the most of your chocolate.
