Not all cocktails need to contain alcohol. Sometimes we want to enjoy a fancy drink but we don’t want to risk getting behind the wheel after drinking. Children also enjoy cocktails but, of course, they cannot consume alcohol. You can include everyone in the fun this summer by serving alcohol-free cocktails.
Cranberry Sparkler
Ingredients:
- 6 oz of cranberry juice
- Juice from 1 lime
- 2 oz sparkling water
- Ice
- Orange wedge for garnish
Directions:
- Fill a tall glass with crushed ice.
- Add the cranberry juice and lime juice.
- Top with sparkling water.
- Garnish with orange wedge.
Sangria Punch Alcohol-free cocktail
Ingredients:
- 1 750ml bottle of non-alcoholic red wine
- 1 orange (sliced)
- 1 lemon (sliced)
- 1 lime (sliced)
- ¼ cup orgeat syrup
- 1 cup chilled orange juic
- 1 cup chilled soda water-soaked
- Ice
Directions:
- Combine the wine, fruit slices, syrup and orange juice in a pitcher.
- Stir to combine and refrigerate for at least three hours.
- Add ice and club soda to fill your pitcher.
Alcohol-free Bellini
Ingredients:
- 2 oz peach nectar
- Sparkling apple cider
- Peach slice to garnish
Directions:
- In a champagne flute, pour your peach nectar.
- Top with sparkling cider (slowly).
- Garnish with a peach slice.
Virgin Mary
Ingredients:
- 3 oz tomato juice
- ½ oz fresh lemon juice
- Dash of Worcestershire sauce
- Pinch ground pepper
- Pinch celery salt
- ½ tsp Tabasco sauce
- Celery stalk with leaves to garnish
Directions:
- Fill a tall glass halfway with ice.
- Add tomato juice, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco, salt and pepper.
- Stir well.
- Garnish with a celery stalk.
As you can see, cocktail recipes can be extremely versatile. For just about every cocktail out there, there is an alcohol-free cocktail version available. If you have a particular favourite cocktail but you would like to eliminate the alcohol from the recipe, simply look up a non-alcoholic version online.
