If you are planning your festive menu but you still aren’t sure about what type of stuffing you should make, you will love this simple recipe! With just a few basic ingredients and by following these simple steps, you will be able to impress your guests with the most delicious stuffing!

Ingredients:

  • 10 cups dried bread cubes
  • 9 Tbsp butter (set aside 1 Tbsp for lining the baking dish)
  • 1 cups celery (chopped)
  • 1 cups yellow onion (chopped)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp chicken spice
  • 1 ½ cup chicken broth

Method:

  • Start making your stuffing by melting 8 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.
  • Add the celery and onion.
  • Stir occasionally and cook until soft.
  • Season with salt and pepper before removing from the heat.
  • Add the bread cubes to a mixing bowl along with the sauteed onion and celery.
  • Add the chicken spice and drizzle chicken broth or stock over it all.
  • Toss the ingredients gently around until mixed.
  • If you are serving as a side dish, you can rub butter on the dish and spoon the stuffing into the dish. Add another ¼ cup of broth, a few spots of butter and cover with foil. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes.
  • If you wish to stuff your chicken or turkey, simply spoon up to 5 cups of the stuffing into the bird. Do not overfill. Cook your chicken or turkey as per usual. Use a food thermometer to check that the stuffing reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit before serving.

Not only is this stuffing delicious, but it is also loved for being so succulent. There are few things more disappointing than dry stuffing. Fortunately, thanks to the stock and butter in this recipe, dryness is not a concern!
