- 4 or 5 cinnamon sticks

- To make simple syrup, mix 1 cup of sugar with 1 cup of water. Boil and cook for about 5 minutes before you allow it to cool.
- Add the wine, cranberry juice, brandy, simple syrup, cranberries, orange slices, peppercorns and cinnamon sticks to a pot or slow cooker.
- Cook the sangria on high for one hour before setting on low and keeping it warm for up to 5 hours.
