It’s pumpkin season! Now is the best time to try as many delicious pumpkin recipes as possible. Here is a delicious and easy pumpkin pie smoothie recipe all those pumpkin lovers out there cannot do without!
Pumpkin pie smoothie ingredients:
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 2 cups almond milk
- ½ cup rolled oats
- 2 Tbsp chia seeds
- ½ Tbsp molasses
- 1 ripe banana (frozen)
- 2 tsp cinnamon (ground)
- ½ tsp ginger (ground)
- ¼ tsp nutmeg (ground)
- 1 ½ – 2 Tbsp maple syrup
Directions:
- Whisk together the milk, chia and oats in a medium-sized bowl.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour or, if possible, overnight.
- Add this soaked oat mixture to your blender.
- Now add the molasses, frozen banana (cut into pieces before freezing), pumpkin and spices.
- Blend all of these ingredients together until smooth.
- Add approximately 5 ice cubes and blend until the mixture is cold.
- Add some maple syrup to taste.
- Pour your pumpkin pie smoothie into a glass, top with whipped cream (optional) and a sprinkle of cinnamon on top!
