While many people associate summer with their favourite cocktails, there are some amazing cocktails that are perfect for the autumn months. Here are some delicious and easy recipes everyone should try.
Kentucky mulled cider
- 1.25 ounces bourbon
- Hot apple cider
- A dash of allspice
- A cinnamon stick
- A lemon slice
Pour the bourbon into a mug. Fill the mug with hot apple cider and then add a dash of allspice. Garnish with the cinnamon stick and slice of lemon. Enjoy!
Apple cider mimosas
- 1 bottle of champagne
- 1 cup of apple cider
- 2 Tablespoons of sugar
- 1 Tablespoon of ground cinnamon
Combine the cinnamon and sugar on a small plate. Dip your champagne flute glasses in water so that the rims are wet. Then tip them in the cinnamon sugar to line the rims. Fill the glasses ¼ full with apple cider. Top off with champagne and serve.
Whisky sour
- 1.5 ounces bourbon
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon sugar
- Orange slice
- Maraschino cherry
Add the bourbon, sugar, and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake. Strain into a rock glass (chilled). Garich with the cherry and orange slice before serving.
Maple bourbon old-fashioned
- 2 ounces bourbon
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon water
- 1 dash bitters
- 1 orange peel
- 1 maraschino cherry
Combine the water, maple syrup, and bitters in a glass. Stir well until completely blended. Add some ice and the orange peel before pouring bourbon on top. Garnish with a cherry and serve.
