Gift hampers are excellent for all occasions including birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas. If you have ever put a gift basket or hamper, you will know just how important it is to get the right container and present all the goodies in just the right way. Not only will the right presentation ensure that the hamper is well received, but it will also help reinforce the theme.
When it comes to containers, you can choose just about anything – provided it’s the right size. If your container is large and you only add a few items, it will look empty. Instead, you should choose a smaller container so that the contents fills up all to gaps. Some suitable containers you can use include wicker baskets, ceramic or glass bowls, extra large coffee mugs, watering cans, and coffee pots, to name a few.
Once your hamper is assembled, it’s time to wrap it up. You don’t want to completely conceal the appearance of the hamper. It should provide visual appeal and the recipient should be able to see all of the items inside without unwrapping it. Cellophane is perfect for this reason and you can find it in various colours. If you like, you can use more than one colour. Add one coloured sheet of cellophane along with another clear sheet. Place your hamper in the middle of the cellophane and then bright the corners up together to meet at the top. Secure the corners together using tape can decorate with a colourful ribbon.
If you want to send a basket of fresh fruit, you might not want to use plastic to wrap the hamper. You can use cellophane if you allow some gaps here and there for air. Alternatively, you can focus on decorating the basket instead! Add some raffia to the basket handle for that perfect final touch.
Should you want to keep the contents of the hamper a secret and surprise, you can use a box. When you receive boxes throughout the year, for whatever reason, you should save them and set them aside. All you need to do is recover a box with the appropriate coloured paper to suit the occasion and the recipient. Then pack the goodies inside and pop the lid on top. Add a ribbon if you want to make sure that they don’t sneak a peek! Gift bags are also great and easy to. You can line the gift bag with some tissue paper for that perfect finishing touch. Not only is this a cheap option, but it’s also not time consuming and anyone can wrap a gift in a hurry when using a gift bag!
