The joy of welcoming a new baby into this world is unlike any other. Not only are the parents over the moon, but so is the entire family and their friends! This new life will be their new main focus of attention and will certainly get pampered permanently! So, what about the parents? What can you do to make them feel just as special for their role in bringing this gorgeous new bundle into the world?

Well, there are a number of great gifts that you can send that will make their lives that much easier. Baby might already have several clothing items but it never hurts to spoil him or her with something extra! Especially if the clothing you are buying is of the highest quality. It will make baby look at feel so special! Even though baby will spend the first few months on sitting or on his or her back, you might think that they won’t get all that dirty. Well, diaper malfunctions and messy burps can get the best of anyone! So several wardrobe changes is an excellent idea at any age!

Apart from clothes you can help mum and dad out by sending them a basket of essentials like soaps, lotions, powders, and similar items for baby. This will help relieve them of shopping emergencies and it’s great news for their budget too!

You can expect mum and dad to be fairly tired which means that they might not have much time for themselves. A few bath and body products will work wonders for mum and you can present them both with a delicious food hamper too! Speaking of food, they might not have time to prepare delicious and healthy meals so, do the new parents a favour and cook if you feel so inclined. Just make sure that you avoid foods like onion, garlic, and broccoli if mum is breastfeeding. Read up about foods that can affect mum’s milk before you cook and make sure that you let them know when you drop the meal off.

Depending on your relationship with the new parents, you might be inclined to give mum a hand around the house. She could use a few extra hours to relax and cleaning is probably not her number one priority anyway! So, try to take over from time to time, with her permission of course, and babysit while mum takes a nap. Do a few dishes, perhaps wipe the dust, and get the house looking presentable again. She will be extremely grateful!
